Frequently asked questions
Our flea and tick shampoo will everything that may be on the dog before the service. However, this does not prevent them from coming back immediately after the service.
If you would like to help prevent them, you should use the time we are grooming your dog, to wash their bedding, vacuum the carpet or clean the floor near their bed, if you can not wash these areas, at least spray them down with flea repellant or killing chemicals. The best practice is to have flea medication from your local pet supply store or veterinarian to give/apply on your dog after the grooming service. Do Not apply flea medication before a bath service, the bath will remove all of the medication.
If you know your dog has more than one tick, always go to the Vet to have them removed. If we see one tick we will remove it free of charge, but if there is multiple, we will refer you to the vet.
Ticks carry disease, and removing them quickly can prevent your dog from becoming sick. Too many ticks can indicate a much more serious problem. We will decline services if we notice more than two ticks. While we can remove them, it is important to remove the tick in its entirety, as not doing so properly can leave the tick's head buried in the skin which can lead to more issues.
